Association of polypharmacy with clinical outcomes and healthcare utilization in older adults with cardiometabolic diseases: a retrospective cohort study (vol 47 , pg 80 , 2025)
In the original publication of the article, the term "marginal
change" in the Results section, Table 4, and supplementary
fle should have read "estimated mean costs". The supplementary fle 2 has now been replaced with the correct fle.
In the sentence beginning “Table 4 examines the fnancial
impact…” in the subsection “Associations between polypharmacy prescribing and healthcare utilization” of the
“Results” section, the term “marginal change” should have
read “estimated mean costs”. The correct sentence should
have been “Table 4 examines the fnancial impact of polypharmacy, noting an increase in expenditures across outpatient and ED settings. For outpatient costs, the unadjusted
estimated mean costs was $294.2, which remained signifcant after adjustment with $73.07 in Model 1 and $70.9 in
Model 2. ED visit costs similarly increased, with an unadjusted estimated mean costs of $258 and adjusted changes
of $51.2 in Model 1 and $60.1 in Model 2.”
