Temporal subtraction technique is developed in order to aid radiologists in the detection of interval changes. The subtraction image, which is obtained from subtraction of a previous image from a current one, can enhance the visibility of interval changes. We applied this technique to digital chest radiography of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) patients. It is proved by practice that using temporal subtraction scheme can strongly help radiologists to detect lung lesions.
