To investigate the factors influencing left ventricular diastolic function after acute myocardial infarction (AMI), left ventricular diastolic function was studied by Doppler echo cardiography in 72 patients (aged 59.19 ± 10.24 yrs). Influencing factors were analyzed by multiple linear correlation and regression. Abnormal left ventricular diastolic function (E/A<1) was identified in 41 patients (41/72, 59.64%). Apart from age, the infarct size had an immediate effect on left ventricular diastolic function, where as infarct position did not. Angina pectoris before infarction could reduce the impairment of left ventricular diastolic function by decreasing infarct size. Thrombolytic therapy could improve left ventricular diastolic function.
