Objective: To report one case of excessive fat emulsion infusion-induced liver dysfunction. Methods: In the patient with severe acute pancreatitis, biochemical analysis was performed after withdrawal of propofol infusion in 10% fat emulsion(500 mL per day) for sedation. Results: After withdrawal of the infusion, abnormal levels of AST and ALT were improved. Conclusion: In the patients with liver insufficiency, excessive intake of fat may worsen liver function.
