Prolactinomas are widely recognized as endocrine diseases that express and secrete prolactin to variable degrees; however, its effect on skin has long been ignored. We report a female prolactinoma patient with psoriasis who underwent endoscopic transnasal and transsphenoidal surgery. Post-operatively, her menstrual cycles returned to normal, galactorrhea disappeared, and psoriasis improved significantly. We also reviewed the literature and discussed possible correlations between prolactinomas and psoriasis. It has been suggested that prolactinomas contribute to worsening of preexisting psoriasis. We emphasize the importance of early diagnosis in such cases. Transsphenoidal surgery or dopaminergic agonists are the optimal treatments for both prolactinoma and psoriasis.
