摘要:
In the present study, the changes of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and microfilaments (MF) in primary cultured astrocytes were observed by using the fluorescence microscopy. Our results indicated that 1) hypothermia caused break-down of the cross-bridges among GFAP bundles but not depolymerization of GFAP itself; Whereas 2) the cross-linkings among MF bundles were broken down and MF itself depolymerized progressively; 3) GFAP in primary cultured astrocytes had a higher tolerance to hypothermia than MF; 4) The morphological changes of GFAP and MF were not only dependent on the temperature and exposure time, but also on the extent of cellular morphological differentiation. In brief, the above-mentioned changes of cytoskeletons may affect various biological processes related to the network of GFAP and MF.
