摘要:
To establish a model of single ventricle in vivo in sheep. Ten healthy sheep were employed to undergo two-stage surgical procedures for establishing a model of single ventricle in vivo. In first stage, pulmonary artery banding was performed to thicken the right ventricular wall for preparation for the second-stage experiment of establishing single ventricle model. In the second stage, on 8 weeks after first stage, 10 cases of sheep were established the single ventricle animal model in vivo through removing partly ventricle septum under general anaesthesia and CBP (Cardiopulmonary By-pass). A model of single ventricle in vivo in sheep was successfully established and a novel surgical procedure for treatment of single ventricle was confirmed. The single ventricle model in vivo in sheep reached the standard of modelling single ventricle in vivo, and was a better model in vivo to undergo related surgical operation. © 2013 et al.; licensee Cardiology Academic Press.
